the Mexican and African American communities in Chicago. It identified struggles shared by both
communities such as the ones found within the civil rights movements of the 1960’s and the current gentrification
of Maxwell, Brozeville, and Pilsen Neighborhoods. There was also an interactive component that allowed visitors to respond
to the exhibition The African Presence in Mexico, the discussions of current events, and the overall issue of race in Chicago.
